Bob Leavitt Named Vice President of Manufacturing at Winston Industries

October 2012 • Louisville, KY – Winston Industries is pleased to announce the promotion of Bob Leavitt to the position of Vice President of Manufacturing.
Bob Leavitt has been with Winston Industries for over 11 years. Prior to Winston, Bob worked for more than 25 years in the powered-metal and fabrication industries, bringing substantial experience in manufacturing and operations management as well as planning.
“Bob has been a valuable asset in the development of our Manufacturing department,” said Valerie Shelton, CEO at Winston Industries. “We are confident that Bob will maintain the high quality of workmanship for which Winston Industries is known and continue to improve on our production practices.”
Among his responsibilities as Vice President of Manufacturing, Mr. Leavitt will ensure the company operates under Lean Manufacturing practices, translate marketing forecasts into appropriate data for planning purposes, and determine factory capabilities and performance measures to provide optimum productivity.
